As an adult, I was very nervous about approaching speech therapy, given I had never had it as a child. However, Christy made me feel at ease very quickly, and we were able to work on correcting ten sounds, many of which I wasn't even aware I was mispronouncing. I think the best part of my speech therapy was that with each new sound we worked on, I was always unsure that I would be able to get it right, but through Christy's guidance and encouragement, and my own hard work and consistency, I was able to always get there in the end.

Christy was amazing with my little girl. My daughter had speech and language difficulties, nothing was ever too much trouble for her! My daughter enjoyed going to her weekly sessions, found it fun and enjoyable, but the main thing was her speech changed so much. Christy always worked really hard and was so positive! Christy gave myself and my daughter work to do over the weekend which made such a difference when it came to her next session. Christy even went above and beyond and completed a full detailed report on my daughter's language and understanding, page after page of detailed information to help myself and our local GP fully understand my daughter's needs!

If your child has any speech and language difficulties I would advise you to speak to Christy Wheatley. She's patient, caring, down to earth and very professional. Her pastoral side goes hand in hand with her passion for helping children to overcome their difficulties. There's no job too big for Christy and I would highly recommend her.

Christy worked with my son who has ASD and associated speech and language issues for 2 years. My son can be quite wary of new people but Christy had a natural rapport with him from the start making him feel comfortable working with her. What an amazing experience! I feel much more confident and comfortable with my pronunciation after our sessions. Christy was always kind and fun, but still professional. This made the sessions enjoyable, which was monumentally helpful considering that the content of the sessions should be quite daunting and intimidating.
